This past weekend our team at NMC Exteriors attended Twin Cities Summer Jam for the second year. We are proud to be sponsors of this event as we feel it is a great opportunity to engage in our community. Summer Jam was started a few years ago by proud Minnesotans who value excellence and community - we thought this was right in line with the NMC values.

Venue and Sponsorship

Summer Jam takes place at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN, which is best known for its horse racing track and card club. Although Summer Jam has only been around for a few years, their lineup never disappoints. One thing that drew us to this festival was that they had music for everyone,

 “Like everyone’s personal playlist, ours is on shuffle. A little country here, a splash of pop there, some rock to switch things up… playlists change depending on what is HOT in the industry, and that is our goal. Find the hottest artists and the newest talent and give them a place to play to their loyal fans”. - TC Summer Jam

We attended this event last year and loved it so much that we decided to kick up our sponsorship a bit. We invested in a bigger tent, more marketing, radio ads, and more giveaways so that our presence was experienced throughout the weekend. Our booth attracted many attendees which made for a great way to get to chat about what it is NMC does not only for homes but also for the community. It was also fortunate that this year's lineup was outstanding. A huge thank you to Chazin Interiors for setting us up with gorgeous outdoor furniture for lounging all weekend!

One of our favorite parts of sponsoring Summer Jam is that we get to sponsor the second stage where acts perform during the intermission of the main stage. Our team had a blast listening to the real and raw talents that performed on this stage. We got to meet Slamabama, one of the acts performing on the second stage. They were so friendly - even let us on stage!

Hairball, Nelly, Kane Brown, Blake Shelton, and more!

Thursday night kicked off the fabulous weekend with Hairball as the headliner. The openers for Hairball included a few local Minnesota natives, including Anderson Daniels, who really touched the hearts of the crowd. 

Friday followed with show-stopping performances by Nelly and Kane Brown. It was such an amazing experience to witness all different age groups come together to appreciate two pretty different genres of music from different decades. We were accompanied by our friend and former Minnesota Vikings player, Ben Leber. Ben works with iHeart Radio and we are partnering on his cabin’s exterior this summer.

Saturday started off looking a bit iffy weather-wise. Predicted thunderstorms, 40mph winds, and a lot of rain, caused a weather delay of a few hours. Luckily this didn’t end up ruining the day as it ended up being a gorgeous Minnesota Summer evening featuring a beautiful sunset behind the stage.

NMC Exteriors is a family-owned business that is proud to be part of this community, so our mission goes beyond helping our customers improve their homes. We are also committed to finding ways to give back to our friends and neighbors. Being present at events like Summer Jam is just one way that we like to connect with the community. Overall, we had a great time at Summer Jam 2022. It is always great to get to hang out with our colleagues and their families outside of the office.
