Flags for Freedom Festival

Last weekend, our team at NMC had the opportunity to sponsor the Flags for Freedom Festival held at the Delano American Legion Post 377. We were honored to sponsor this event as we were informed that all the proceeds from the event would be donated to the Magnus Veterans Foundation. 

The Magnus Veterans Foundation is based just down the road from the NMC office, out of Dayton, Minnesota. This foundation is run by a combination of veterans, physicians, licensed professionals, veteran families, community leaders, and military service advocates. What stood out to our team the most about this foundation is their mission and vision, 

“Heal and honor our veterans and their families through community fellowship and a comprehensive approach to restoring the body, heart, mind, and spirit” - Magnus Mission

“Fully restore the Warrior Spirit by bridging the gap between those who serve and those whom they serve”. - Magnus Vision

The festival went off without a hitch and we felt great about the contributions it would be able to make to the Magnus Veterans Foundation. Our team was there with our booth to hand out t-shirts, koozies, sunglasses, and candy of course. We even had our mascot, the panther, walking around and chatting with guests. The kids attending the event seemed even more entertained by the giant panther walking around than we had expected - probably because there was candy involved!

We partnered with the manager at the Delano Legion Post 377 to make this event possible, and it truly was something special. Veronica made sure that there were activities for everyone and all ages. Some of the things to highlight were;

  • Bags tournament
  • Silent auction
  • Cash raffle
  • Ice cream truck
  • Face painting 
  • Live music
  • Fire truck
  • Dunk tank
  • Food & Beverages
  • And more!

It was a beautiful Minnesota day, but what was even more beautiful was the turnout of people. Families, friends, colleagues, all came out to support such an amazing event, benefiting an even more amazing foundation. NMC is so proud to have been part of an event for a cause that is so near and dear to our hearts.
